Coast 1079 was created in 2012 by the innovative team that conceived, built and launched Southport’s Community Radio, going out on local FM from 2006.
Playing adult contemporary music, classics and specialist genres, Coast 1079 is produced from studios just off the mile-long boulevard Lord Street in Southport’s town centre.
Coast 1079 is blending new technologies for our growing audiences’ entertainment and building commercially upon our town’s strong, creative English Victorian Heritage, which is well established in The Liverpool City Region.
